Definition of Personality: the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character.
Definition of Character: the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
What you say and do are being assessed by the Board at all times at AOSB accept in the mess and your bedroom. The manner in which you conduct yourself portrays who you are, remember to always be polite and professional in everything you do. This habit is at the core of what it means to be an officer through leading by example.

There are many things at AOSB which are designed to generate stress in a candidate, the purpose of this is to gain a sense of how your react under pressure. As an officer you will be required to make decisions in a high pressured situations so your ability to manage stress is important, you don’t need to be an pro managing stress. They are only look for potential therefore you don’t want to be flipping your lid when leading a command task or crack under questioning during the Plan Ex.
Personal Presentation
As well as looking the part; clean and professional, you need to act the part. This includes wearing the dress stated in the joining instructions, not swearing and being professional in your behaviour at all times.

The 7-38-55 rule is a concept concerning the communication of emotions. The rule states that 7 percent of meaning is communicated through spoken word, 38 percent through tone of voice, and 55 percent through body language. It was developed by psychology professor Albert Mehrabian at the University of California, Los Angeles, who laid out the concept in his 1971 book Silent Messages (1971).
