Application

In most cases applications are managed online, after completing forms it is followed up by an interview at your unit. The process is:

If you are joining from a UOTC or already serving the interview and medical assessment of the process is not required. This only applies if your medical is in date, If your medical has expired you may be required to get it renewed. Medicals last for 2 years.

If you are already serving and your medical is in date there is a form that you need to sign and return to your CSM (candidate support manager). If your medical is out of date or requiring renewal it is quicker to have it renewed through your unit.

If you are not already part of an UOTC or a reservist you will be required to attend a soldier selection, this includes a medical assessment. For more information of reserve soldier selections click here.

You're CO and OC may wish to interview you before attending AOSB as they are required to submit a recommendation approving your application to attend AOSB.
